Summary

The Clean Industrial Deal connects industrial decarbonisation with affordable energy, investment and demand for cleaner products. Its measures address electricity costs, permitting, grid infrastructure, state aid and finance for industrial projects. Product standards, procurement and support for circular production are intended to strengthen markets for low-carbon goods and access to raw materials. The programme also covers trade partnerships and changes to the carbon border mechanism. Skills, quality jobs and measures supporting a fair transition accompany the industrial agenda, linking changes in production with the needs of workers and communities.
